Announcing Our Proud Support Of Wakefield Hospice’s 10k Event

Last year over 2,000 runners took part in the Wakefield Hospice 10k, raising over £75,000 for patient care at the hospice. This year we have the honour of announcing we are co-sponsoring this amazing and worthy event – which will take place on Sunday 25th March 2018.

Alongside Arnold Clark and Beaumont Legal, we have made it our mission to make this event even bigger and better than last year – including the amount of funds raised and the number of runners taking part.

PAB Bringing the “Wow” Factor!

We are bringing our advertising, marketing and event organisational skills to create a large amount of coverage for all those involved, from the Hospice to the sponsors to the runners and their supporters.

At the event you can look forward to a fun and uplifting warm-up routine and a branded high visibility stage (which is where the warm up routine will be directed from) kindly hosted by Ridings FM.

During the race a large digital screen will be displaying messages of encouragement and commemorating loved ones. This screen also gives us the opportunity to have live coverage of the halfway point which will allow those watching in the arena to catch a glimpse of the runners. Lining the route will be branded distance markers which will allow for those running to be aware of where they are and how long is left. A brand-new finish and arena area has allowed for the start of the run process to be much more communal – this will be where the group warm up will begin proceedings.

As part of publicising the event, including a website re-jig, we have created a portfolio of social media campaigns which are aimed at supporting local runners taking part and to encourage more people to sign up. One campaign offers advice on training plans to make sure that running is kept safe and most importantly fun! The second campaign concentrates on gaining sign ups from people who may not have taken on the event before. Further campaigns aim to educate participants as to the easiest ways to raise funds and tips on maximising sponsorships.

It’s not what you say, it’s what you do!

PAB will also be fielding a team themselves and we will keep you updated as to their training! It feels great to back this community project that has positive effects on the whole area, from funding the  running of the Hospice and the amazing work they do to encouraging fitness and health in Wakefield, furthermore it’s a great story for us to be involved in right in the heart of our home city.
